Mind the Cultural Gap
I had the pleasure of joining Rivers International School at the start of their school year.
The professional learning day was focussed on “Communicate, Communicate, Communicate!”, how to avoid cultural misunderstandings and the fault lines that so many schools fall into.
The day was fun, interactive, open and purposeful.
A rich dialogue flowed from what are our cultural norms and how do we celebrate and honour the rich diversity of our community as a collective to improve learning.
